A Desperate Mothers’ Prayer

Let us pray. Father God I am a child of God What I am not is a home school teacher God. I’m at home but Lord ain’t no teaching going on round here. Father God I am your humble servant What I am not is a math teacher God Lord God the spirit of common core Has attacked our household and right now the only thing we have in common is frustration and no answer to the math problem Lord God. I asked that you send down your angels of the carry over Lord. Teach her that if you carry the one over to the tenth place You can get the answer Lord God. Lord God I am a layman in your vineyard. What I am not is a cafeteria lady Lord. Yet again the devil has attacked and sent down a tapeworm onto my child Lord God. And I need you to help her understand Lord. That just cause there is a refrigerator don’t mean the door got to be open And just cause there is a stove don’t mean the eye has to be on I am not Denny’s IHOP, Shoney’s, nor Waffle House Lord God. Lord God right now I need her to understand Is times are tough right now Lord God. But I see if things continue the way that they are going Lord God. Not only am I your child but I’m going to be an inmate. Cause I’m going to jail Lord God. I don’t look good in orange, I don’t look good in a jumpsuit. Lord God. But Lord I ask Lord that you change the way things are going right now Father God and bless every teacher cause they have a special place in heaven. Ain’t no way that I could do it Lord God ain’t no way. Amen, amen, amen

Funny she uses YouTube to post this, yet never thought to look for tutorials on YouTube. For those of you struggling to teach math, this is the best tutorials for math on YouTube (just type myteacher math into the search box).

"Angel of the carry-over…" Absolutely hilarious. The entire sketch is simply fabulous. My wife and I can't get enough of it. And we are praising the Almighty Loving Father that our sons are young men. Hallelujah!

If you parents truly cared about your kids, you would home school or online school them. Traditional schools are not educational institutes anymore. They are community service centers for poor parents.

Oh….sister you really got a sense of humor. I love your prayer. You speak my heart! In this terrible time when all schools shut downed or cities locked down; I have not laugh for very long time. Your prayer made me laugh so hard. Thank you and God bless you and your family.

I am a classroom teacher myself but also a parent. I can see how some parents might feel. WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS.

Your children were born with you teaching them. You don't need to be a qualified math or science teacher, you're already overqualified because you love them and have raised them.

Just think if you were having to write the lessons and grading the work as well how hard that would be!

My son is severely autistic plus ADHD and not only am I not a teacher, I am not a behavioral interventionist, speech and language pathologist, occupational therapist, psychologist, or adaptive PE specialist.

For some of us, the cure is worse than the disease. Just give my family the disease now and restart my son’s services once we’re no longer contagious. That’s my prayer.

God is not to be mocked. This video is not funny at all. The God of Israel does not find this video funny at all. He punishes people for mocking Him. Fear Him. He is the same God who puts death, devastation, curses, judgment and destruction on people. If you can't teach your kids math, learn how to do math and teach them how to do it, but don't play with God if you know what is best for you and your family. Shalom.

And Father God, I'm not the janitor nor the music teacher because the music stays loud. Father God this is not the theater or drama dept because its always something about nothing.

I love, love, love this video. I always appreciate anyone who takes care of our kids, from nursery to high school, Jesus, my hats to you guys, because ain't no way.

Shows how much the State has taken over basic family functions. People can't even stand their own offspring. SMH.

I shared this video with my graduate students to begin a discussion of the importance of teachers in our society. Perhaps this "mother's desperate prayers" will begin a movement in our ENTIRE society to respect, value and honor teachers in a real and meaningful way.
