– Hello Airbnb family, it’s Jim G. from Jim G.’s coaching club. And I wanted to end the week in prayer. We’ve been going through a lot. Every time I turn on the television it’s something different. You would think, and I don’t watch a lot of TV, but you would think that, that we’ve kind of hit that point where okay we’re gonna start leveling out with all the information, with all the news, with
all the restrictions, and every time I turn the TV on just to kind of check at the end of the day how things are going it seems like it’s something else. And so I can only imagine
others that are out there just kind of feeling the brunt of that. They’re feeling just little lost, little confused, a little paranoid, a little afraid. And not just for themselves but for those that they, you know they care, they
love and care about. And also for, I’m also seeing other things as far as people that have businesses, and jobs that are losing
those business and jobs, or at least there’s a
serious threat to that because they can’t work. If you’re in the Airbnb business, that’s, you can’t, you’ve
gotten a bunch of cancellations, people haven’t been booking as much as you may have want. But with all that I would just say that’s why I want to
end the week in prayer. I want to be able to just come together and know where we get our strength from. So, and also before I do that I wanna also share with
you something else. I wanna share with you just a little bit in Deuteronomy. In Deuteronomy seven, chapter seven, verse 12 through 16. And it says then it shall come to pass because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and mercy which
he swore to your fathers. And he will love you and
bless you and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb, the fruit of your lamb, your grain, and your new wine and your oil. The increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock. In the land in which he swore to your forefathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all peoples. You shall not be a male or female bare. There should not be a male
or female barren among you, or among your livestock. And the Lord will take
away from you all sickness and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of
Egypt which you have known. But will lay them on
all those who hate you. Also you shall destroy
all the peoples whom the Lord your God delivers over to you. Your eyes shall have no pity on them, nor shall you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you. And so I’m just, I read that because I’ve actually been reading it a lot for a number of different reasons. But I read it here today because I just want to encourage you. The Lord is in control. And when, he tells us when we
obey that he will bless. He will bless the fruit of our womb. He will bless our livestock. He will bless the things
that our hands touch. The work of our hands. So he will, he will bless our bodies and protect us from sickness and illness. He will keep us from our enemies. And so I just want to encourage you for those that are believers. I want to encourage you for
those that aren’t believers, know that his word is true, and we can trust it. And so, again, I just want
to end the week in prayer. And then there’s also, as it relates to your Airbnb business, there’s something, I’ll
touch base on very briefly. So in prayer, Father God,
you’re an awesome God, Lord. Thank you for your word. Thank you for your blessing. Thank you for your grace. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your love. And thank you for your son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins, Lord thereby accepting
him we may be forgiven and have eternal life with you. And Father, I just thank you
for putting into my heart to do this. It is kind of strange, Father, knowing that we’re on Airbnb, I mean not Airbnb, we’re on YouTube praying, however, Lord, you tell, you tell us, Lord, that wherever we are it’s our responsibility to share. To share your testimony. To share our testimony. And to share your love. To share the things that you’ve done, your greatness, your power, your promises. And so I thank you for giving
me a heart to do that Father. I pray that if there’s
anyone out there Lord that is watching this and just needed a glimpse of hope, Father I pray God that you, this will be that thing that
provides them with that. Not so that they turn to me, please no, but so that they turn to you and your son, Jesus Christ, knowing that you are real. Lord, there is no coincidence
when it comes to you. And so let them know Lord that there is no coincidence. And you led them here for a purpose. And that purpose is so that they would, again turn to you. And Father, I pray God that if there’s anyone out there that’s suffering from the coronavirus and they may not necessarily be recovering the way they wanna be, Father I pray God you just
put your hand on that. I pray God that they will
turn to you and trust you. And I pray God for your
healing as well on them. If there’s others Lord out there that are just stressed because of all the, again, all the media, and all the uncertainty, Father give them peace. Father let them know that you are the God of order. You’re not the God of confusion. And that you work in all things for the good of those who love you and are called according
to your purpose, Father. So help them know that if they love you, if they’re called, Father, if they love you that you’re promises are true. And so, Father, I just thank you. I thank you. And for those Lord that are just struggling financially out there, Father I pray God that you will give them that, you will help them to have that mustard seed of faith that you call us to have father. It doesn’t have to be a
mountain of faith, Father, but just a mustard seed. That faith that we can trust you and trust in the things
that you’ve give us, Lord. And know that you will
continue to provide. And so I thank you for that Lord. I, you’re an awesome God, Father. We love you, you’re an awesome God. Lord, we thank you and we pray in Jesus’ name, amen. So, again, that was kind of strange for me, so forgive me if I, if I stumbled a little bit. But it was genuine, and it was only strange, not because I am, I feel
funny praying, no I don’t. But I, like in my mind I’m wondering what are people thinking, what are people wondering. And so I just hope, again,
that if you do have a chance to watch this that you are encouraged and know, again, that Christ loves you. And again, he will never forsake you. He gives us those promises. And so with respect to, as you know what I do as far as Airbnb, with the Airbnb stuff, I would just tell you, I know a lot of people have
been asking the question is it over? Or should we, is it a god time or is it a bad time to
continue doing Airbnb? And I would just say to you it’s not over, I don’t believe it’s over. I mean I’m not God, I don’t make those predictions, but I don’t believe it’s over. In fact, over the weekend I lost, I had a number of cancellations. A number of cancellations,
I lost about $4,000. But we gained most of that back in just the first couple days of the week. So it’s not over. People are still booking. I’m going to take a look today, which I don’t do much, but I’m going to take a look today with my youngest daughter who’s a senior in college, and she’s saying dad, I wanna do an Airbnb. And I was thinking well maybe I will do this Airbnb and give it to one of my students because I had one of my landlords call me and ask me if I wanted to take it because it came vacant, and it’s a nice one by the water. And so I was gonna give it to one of my students but when she said that I said you know, I’ll consider it. And now this will be her first one. So we’re gonna go look at this one. I’ve already seen it, but he had some work done, put all new carpets in and did a bunch of paint and stuff. And so we’re gonna look at it and then finalize our decision if we’re gonna do it or not. So I don’t think it’s over. I think it’s actually a great time because there’s a lot of people with all the social distancing, with all the, again, I’m gonna say unnecessary panic. I’m not gonna say unnecessary concern because there is reason for concern, but there is unnecessary panic. And with all the unnecessary panic, what’s happening is people
are not doing anything. People are shying away
from doing everything. And what that’s also causing is for landlords who are out there renting, or wanting to rent, if you’re doing arbitrage, then what’s happening is their vacancies might be climbing, which means there’s more
opportunity for you. Now I can tell you that
people are traveling. There’s not a travel ban in the country. There’s travel bans internationally, but there’s not a travel
ban in the country. There’s recommendations that you take extra precaution when traveling, but people haven’t, people are still traveling. It’s not shut off. People are traveling less, but they’re still traveling. And so what I do believe, again, what I do believe because
the stock market was strong, the economy was strong, the economy is still strong, it’s just everything is on pause. And you know there’s gonna be some effects of the fact people lost jobs and things like that, but that being the case, Airbnb being one of your, or rental arbitrage being one of the ways that people can generate revenue without having to have a job or having to own property, it’s that I could foresee people jumping more and more into this business. And so I would say to you people will begin traveling again, even more and more as this
thing starts to level out. And people will, as
they’re looking to travel they’re still gonna have in their mind about being cautious. So what I believe is that they’re gonna be more reluctant to book hotels than Airbnbs because it’s now more of a private setting in the Airbnb where there’s not as many people. And to there, it’s already kind of being ingrained in us to kind of keep our distance. So people are wanting to have maybe those smaller environments or less active environment. So I believe Airbnb bookings are going to continue to climb as this
thing starts to level out. So with all that said, again, those are my opinions. I’ve been doing Airbnb
for a couple years now. Last year we hosted, I hosted over 4500 nights last year. Between me and my
students we’ve hosted tens of thousands of nights. And so I have a bit of
a finger no the pulse of what’s kind of going on out there. But, again, I’m not, so take it for what it’s worth. If it is something you’re considering getting in or getting out then you can be a little bit patient. I would just say be mindful and don’t panic. And, ’cause there’s still
some great opportunities. There’s a lot more great
opportunities out there. And you don’t have to own property. You don’t have to have a ton of money. You don’t have to go to banks. You don’t have to have
a lot of experience. And you can still generate some, a decent $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 a month
Airbnb passive income if you follow the right system. So with that said have
a wonderful weekend, God bless you, and I will
see you on the next video. Thank you.
