Guided Meditation for Self Love | Love Letter from Yourself | Valentine’s Day Affirmations

When was the last time you told yourself “I love you”? If it has been a while, then you’ve come to
the right place. Welcome! This is a guided meditation for self love. When you allow yourself to experience self love, you give yourself permission to feel compassion, forgiveness, and kindness towards yourself. Self love is healthy and important. It fills you with a positive nurturing energy. And when you love and value yourself, it becomes so much easier to truly love and value those around you. You absolutely deserve to love yourself. So let’s begin. Find a quiet space where you can dim or turn off the lights. Lie down or sit down somewhere where you can relax without being disturbed. This is your time. Allow your hands to rest quietly by your sides or gently on your thighs. If you’d like to, go ahead and close your eyes. Or if you’d prefer, you can watch the relaxing images in this video. Take a moment to become aware of your breathing. Allow yourself to notice the air as you breathe in and out. Take a deep breath in. And let it out. Take another deep breath in. And let it out. As you breathe in and out, feel the tension start to melt away. It’s as if each time you breathe out, the
stress of the day flows away with the air that is leaving your body. Each time you breathe in and out, you feel
a bit more calm. You may notice that your body is sinking a bit more deeply into the chair or bed or whatever you are resting on. Allow your muscles relax into it. Feel it supporting your body. You are starting to feel more comfortable. You might notice that your breathing is a
little slower. As you breathe in and out. Notice that your muscles are relaxing even more. The muscles in your feet and legs might be starting to feel a bit heavier. It’s comfortable and restful. The relaxation feels like a soothing wave
of warm light gently encompassing your body. Let this wave of relaxation spread up you legs and past your hips, to your stomach and chest. Feel your shoulders to start to relax. This wonderful and comforting feeling spreads to your arms and down to your hands and fingers. As you continue to breathe slowly, in and
out, the relaxation spreads to your neck. As the wave of relaxation travels up your neck, any tightness that you might be feeling there starts to fade away. The relaxation gently crosses over your lower jaw and lips. Up across your cheeks, to your eyelids, to your forehead and top of your head. Feel the tension evaporate away. You are now in a state of deep relaxation. Allow yourself to rest quietly and calmly,
as I continue to guide you through this meditation. Imagine you are holding an envelope. Feel the smooth paper and the weight of the envelope in your hand. You look at it and see that it is addressed to you. This envelope is for just for you. You feel yourself fill with a happy anticipation of what is inside. You feel almost like a child just before they open up a special gift. Go ahead. Open up the envelope. Inside the envelope is a piece of paper with words on it. It’s a letter. You can see that this letter is written in
your own handwriting. This is a letter that you’ve written to yourself. It’s a love letter from you to you. And this is what it says: My Dearest Love, The days are busy, and there are so many things going on. I know I don’t often take the time to let
you know how I feel about you. So I’ve written you this letter because there are a few things I need to tell you. I love who you are, and I accept who you are. So, please, never apologize for being you. You are special to me and I think you are
beautiful. I know that sometimes you make mistakes, and I forgive you. You are an amazing person. You are powerful. You are everything you need to be, and I believe in you. What a beautiful letter you’ve written to yourself. You see that there’s more written on the page. What does it say? What else do you want to tell yourself in this love letter? Take a quiet moment to listen inside you, and hear what you have to say to yourself. It’s time to put the letter away. You carefully fold it up and put it back in its envelope. You can carry this with you everywhere you go. I am going to count from 5 to 1. When I reach 1, you will be awake and refreshed and ready to continue your day. 5 4 3 2 1 I hope you enjoyed this meditation.     Welcome! With Valentine's Day around the corner, now is the perfect time to show yourself a little self care and love. But, in reality, ANY day is a good day for self love.
