this is a guided meditation for creating an inner environment in your thoughts feelings and overall consciousness that is conducive to success in all your undertakings and goals material or spiritual Parma han seokjun and I said learn to be very active in this world doing constructive work but when you are through with your duties turn off your nervous motor retire to the center of your being which is calmness mentally affirm to yourself I am calm I am NOT a mere nervous mechanism I am spirit though I dwell in this body I am untouched by it if you have a calm nervous system you will have success in everything you undertake and above all you will succeed with God [Music] as we begin our meditation it is important to sit in the correct meditation posture the spine should be held straight the chin parallel to the floor close your eyes gently lift your gaze upward without straining to the point between the eyebrows the seed of concentration and of the spiritual eye or divine perception mentally command the body to be still and relaxed consciously feel the body relaxing leave aside all thoughts of the world let go of all cares and concerns feel the peace within let us begin with an affirmation please repeat after me Oh divine spirit there is hidden strength within me to overcome all obstacles and temptations I will bring forth that indomitable power and energy Oh divine spirit there is hidden strength within me to overcome all obstacles and temptations I will bring forth that indomitable power and energy Oh Divine Spirit there is hidden strength within me to overcome all obstacles and temptations I will bring forth that indomitable power and energy Oh peace amen as you continue to sit completely still in meditation posture let us practice a breathing exercise to help calm the body and mind keeping the gaze and attention focused at the point between the eyebrows expel the breath through the mouth in a double exhalation now inhale through the nostrils tensing the whole body and clenching the fists hold briefly then exhale expelling the breath through the mouth in a double exhalation and relaxing all the body parts at once let’s repeat this three times inhale intense hold exhale and relax inhale intense hold exhale and relax inhale intense hold exhale and relax now one final time without tension inhale hold exhale and completely relax now forget the breath let it flow in and out naturally of its own accord as in ordinary breathing [Music] keeping the gaze and attention fixed at the point between the eyebrows listen to and concentrate upon these words by Parma han seokjun anda remember greater than a million reasonings of the mind is to sit and meditate upon God until you feel calmness within then say to the Lord I can’t solve my problem alone even if I thought a zillion different thoughts but I can solve it by placing it in your hands asking first for your guidance and then following through by thinking out the various angles for a possible solution God does help those who help themselves when your mind is calm and filled with faith after praying to God in meditation you are able to see various answers to your problems and because your mind is calm you are capable of picking out the best solution follow that solution and you will meet with success this is applying the science of religion in your daily life feel the calmness and stillness within if restless thoughts enter your mind gently dismiss them and return your concentration to the feeling of peace of joy of love permeating your whole body and mind enjoy the stillness as we go deeper in silent meditation let us meditate practice and affirmation given by Parma hands Yogananda the affirmation is I am brave I am strong perfume of success thoughts blows in me blows in me I am cool I am calm I am sweet I am kind I am love and sympathy I am charming and magnetic I am pleased with all I wipe away all tears and fears I have no enemy I am the friend of all now please repeat this affirmation with me first at a normal volume then softer then as a whisper and finally repeat it mentally concentrate deeply on these words until you become absorbed in their inner meaning and convert them into an actual experience I am brave I am strong perfume of success thoughts blows in me blows in me I am cool I am calm I am sweet I am kind I am love
