Hello and welcome to ChriskaYoga! Let’s get started begin in a comfortable seated position Cross your shins flex your feet under your knees sit up. Tall bring your hands to your legs Either that or you can also sit in a chair with your feet flat on the ground Just be sure that your spine is nice and straight, and you’re sitting up tall Once you’re settled close your eyes and begin to deepen your breathing Breathing deeply in and out through your nose Take a moment to quiet your mind By focusing all of your attention on your inhales and exhales If another thought comes into your mind As soon as you notice the thought is there Take that thought set it to the side and gently bring your attention back to your breathing We will now begin a brief visualization Visualize in your mind That you are sitting out somewhere in nature It can be on a beach in a forest Looking over a mountain Visualize the horizon and imagine That the Sun is about to rise You can just gently see the glow of the Sun Across the horizon Wherever you are take in the scenery It is a peaceful and calm setting there’s no one else around but you It’s quiet and peaceful and serene Take in the scenery and to notice that glowing Sun that’s ready to rise The Sun begins to float up You can just start to see the tip of the Sun peeking out over the horizon It’s moving very Slowly very Steady The glow is getting larger With each moment as it rises The sky is beginning to get lighter and brighter as each moment passes I Invite you to feel the Sun Feel the warmth of the Sun on your body on your face I Invite you to take that feeling in Allow this glow to provide you with a sense of calm And readiness to begin your day with a fresh start At this point the last bit of the Sun is about to rise above the horizon So that you can see the whole Sun and it’s lighting up the entire sky you can see the brightness all around you and Whenever you’re ready Gently open your eyes to a new fresh and exciting day ahead
