Hi, my name is Christian. I’m an ultra-marathon runner. This hasn’t always been the case. For a long time I wasn’t sporty at all In 2010 I was 100 kg I decided that I had to change something and started preparing for a marathon in February 2010 Since then I’ve competed in more than 20 races that were marathon distance or longer The longest I’ve run so far is 180 km For me running is all about testing my physical limits to simply feel good and physically fit I realized that running marathons is quite one dimensional and that my thighs were getting tighter My goal is to gain more flexibility and develop a more balanced mindset for my everyday life So after doing Yoga for 6 months –which is longer than I expected– I reached my goals: I became much more flexible I can touch my toes, which is quite an achievement for me My performance increased significantly I got much faster And I became calmer In the beginning, I couldn’t have imagined what I have achieved now and I would highly recommend Yoga to any runner
