Marijuana and Spirituality (Does Pot/Weed/Cannabis Enhance Spirituality?) – Teal Swan

Marijuana and Spirituality(Does Pot/Weed/Cannabis
Enhance Spirituality?)[subtitles using] hello everyone. in accordance
with popular demand i decided that today’s video should be on pot
otherwise known as cannabis or marijuana. cannabis has been used as a spiritual
drug since 2000 BC. has been used as a spiritual drug because
it’s a psychoactive drug. what a psychoactive drug is, is a drug which
alters your state of consciousness. by altering your state
of consciousness it enables you to get outside the restriction
of your limited perception. to expand your consciousness beyond
the three-dimensional reality. all plants possess unique
energetic frequencies and those frequencies can teach a new way
of thinking, in a new way of being. cannabis teaches a great many things including
the path of least resistance, oneness, surrender, release, letting
go, inhibition, the present moment, Liberty,
communion, allowing, the impermanence and illusion
of the physical dimension, the frailness of boundaries, the illness of control, the fear resident behind the bold confident
mask of the ego and effortless being. people react differently to cannabis. that’s because people hold different vibrations
and different vibratory rates. when a person with their unique vibration
shares the space with a cannabis plant. the person’s vibration has to match
the frequency of the cannabis plant. otherwise they can’t share
the same space. in shamanic tradition, these plants including
cannabis were seen as gatekeepers or tunnel Guardians between realms. this matching of frequencies or resonating between
the person and the plant is called friending. you friend the plant so that the plant can allow you
to pass between realms. this resonance effect is drastically increased
when the medicine is ingested. the vibrational resonances causes a cascade
of physiological reactions to occur most especially the inhibition
of neurotransmitters. it inhibits the brain from functioning
at normal capacity. this provides a great deal of
reliefs to many people who are bombarded by their
own resistant thoughts. the brain is a transceiver
of information that is designed to create the illusion
of a static third dimension. when the transceiver is affected or
inhibited by certain drugs the illusion of the physical dimension
begins to dismantle and a person can feel or see beyond this dimension
into other dimensional realities. it may also enable a person to allow more of his or her
own pure being to be fully present and unrestricted. so why is that the people react
differently to the plant. there’s two main reasons; the first reason, is that your vibratory rate
may be higher or lower than cannabis. if your vibratory rate is lower than the
vibratory rate of the cannabis. it’s likely that when you ingest
cannabis you will feel better. because it will cause you
to increase your frequency. you will experience that calm you for
a feeling that we associate with pot. if however your vibratory rate
is higher than pot then most likely when
you ingest pot what’s going to happen is that you will experience
a decrease in vibration. you’ll experience paranoia and other
unwanted side effects. the second reason is because cannabis
is highly reactive to intention. cannabis enhances the truth
of this universe which is the intention Direct Energy
intention creates your reality. if you do not set an intention before you go into the experience
of ingesting cannabis. then what’s gonna happen is it’s going to respond
to the intention of your subconscious. so let’s say that your subconscious
has a desire for you to know something which is
buried in the subconscious. or let’s say that the subconscious fears
the loss of its own boundaries. if that’s the case when you in just pot you
are not going to feel you for feeling. instead you’re going to feel the surfacing
of your subconscious fears and resistance. the number one benefit cannabis, is that it helps people to
release resistance. it is perhaps the very best spiritual drug when it
comes to helping with this release of resistance. it disables the brain from focusing
on the thoughts which cause the body to exhibit
a stress reaction. this is why it is so effective
at reducing stress and this is why it is so effective
for the use of pain management. pain is a symptom of resistance. by causing a person to release resistance
and flow downstream with life. a person is free to be
who they really are. more of their true essence is present
in the absence of resistance. and this is why people often undergo such intense spiritual
experiences while under the influence of cannabis. this is also why it is
used recreationally. as a spiritual teacher
I can’t fully support or fully condemn the use of cannabis
versus the non use of cannabis. because whether to use or not use is not a black-and-white
scenario it’s a gray scenario it’s a case by case scenario. i also can’t completely condemn the use
of pot because all plants are teachers. if a person tries to escape the
resistance by using cannabis, all they have learned is to be dependent in
a powerless way on the particular drug. all that has happened is that they have learned that
they need that in order to release resistance. cannabis may enable us to break
free of the illusion for a minute to see what is
beyond this dimension. but it does nothing to teach you
how to get there organically. it has not taught you how to get there
without the use of that crutch of the particular medicinal. this is the number one reason why i don’t support
the use of cannabis overtly in spiritual practice. it’s because all too often there
is no organic experience of accessing dimensions beyond
this dimension. more often than not when people
experience breaking outside this dimension with
the use of cannabis. that becomes their only way of accessing
dimensions other than our dimension. it becomes their only way
of releasing resistance. this facilitates a very unique
type of powerlessness. the feeling state of the experience
becomes an addiction and the more subtle transition
of increasing ones vibration and altering ones focus. so as to facilitate an organic shift in
consciousness. no longer registers as a special
and not worthy experience when compared with the intensity of the radical break
from reality that is caused by cannabis. so the drug itself becomes the
only access to spirituality. the drug itself becomes
the religion. pot is absolutely an addictive
substance, we need to change our criteria
of what is addictive. what it means to be addicted is to be powerlessly
dependent on something else to induce a feeling state within you. if you think that pot is necessary for you
to achieve a certain level of awareness or a certain level of
feeling good you then are absolutely addicted to pot. and become addicted to cannabis is
too short cut your own expansion. stress and resistance
exist for a reason to teach you about yourself and to feel you
in the direction of your own expansion. when you feel resistance creeping
up in your consciousness, there is always an aspect of yourself
that needs to be examined and shifted. and there is always something that is
being desired. if you escape from that feeling
by using cannabis. you will forego the opportunity to examine
and shift the root of that resistance. and when the effect of
the drug wears off, you are right back to where you were having
improved nothing long term. in this way cannabis prevents
learning. also, with a decrease of resistance you will see
a decrease of desire simultaneously. and when you decrease your
level of desire. the physical reaction to that decrease in desire is
a decrease in dopamine levels in your brain. dopamine is responsible for
your motivation response. this means, that when the dopamine
level decrease in your brain. is a response to the reduction in your desire level
as a response to the marijuana or pot. you are in essence making
yourself a pathetic. you cannot have intense levels of motivation
with the presence of cannabis in your system. it’s also why wouldn’t support the use
of any recreational drugs of any kind. I’d rather help somebody change
the conditions in their life. that are making them want to escape
their life with drug use. then enable somebody to escape their
life by using some kind of a drug. that being said, we create
our own reality and when people are in chronic pain or
when people are chronic warriors, an interesting thing happens. certain kinds of pain and worry inhibit
focus and especially positive focus to such a degree that a
person cannot learn and cannot get out of the downward
spiral of negative reality creation. if a person is incapacitated
by resistance which is the case when chronic illnesses
has cause chronic pain to occur. when someone is a chronic
worrier, cannabis may in fact be the very best
tool that a person can use. to enable themselves to release enough resistance
to come back into alignment. when this is the case, a person’s vibration is so low that the cannabis is able to help a person
distract themselves long enough. to release enough resistance to be able to face and explore their own resistance
and therefore shift that resistance. but cannabis should never be treated
as a long-term solution to resistance. we need to find the root
of our resistance and pull up that route if we want a long-term
solution to resistance. as many of you know the legalization of pot
is a big issue in today’s society. some people see pot as
a gateway drug. which is going to put our youth
at risk of course. we’re using even harder drugs. other people don’t believe in condoning
any kind of drug. recreational or otherwise and see the legalization as
ask condoning the use of those drugs. I’ve been asked again and again to present
my opinion on the legalization of pot. so in today’s video I’m going
to let you win on my opinion. in my opinion making something
illegal. fuels the use of that substance much
more than making it legal does. the reason is humans are not addicted to substance
as much as they are addicted to freedom. if you make something illegal then a person now has the opportunity
to exercise their free will. when we are breaking rules we have the
opportunity to feel more free and that becomes its own
kind of addiction. besides prohibition
never did anything to restrict the use or sale
of illegal substances. it simply makes the trade more life-threatening
for both sellers and users. also in my opinion, the government has no right
to tell people what’s right versus wrong. when they have demonstrated
again and again they’re over inability to decide what
is right versus wrong. which is evident by the fact that they think
that it’s appropriate to go to war. in my opinion, people can and should be trusted
to do what is right for themselves personally. rather than be told what is right
by an external organization. as a side note too that. i would hope that our government has
better things to do with its time. than to prosecute people
for trying to find relief. which is exactly what people are trying to
do when they are taking any kind of drug. legalizing marijuana would also reduce
the amount of smuggling which we experienced in this country. if we reduce smuggling then we’re reducing the amount
of american dollars that are going towards fueling, criminal,
international markets. even though it is a major money making business
to find people for illegal drug use. in my opinion were missing a major opportunity
to make even more money by taxing pot. if we legalized and taxed pots, we may not have
to shut down so many beneficial programs due to the government’s embarrassing
financial mistakes. and lastly i believe the rules and general prohibit people
for listening to their own emotional guidance system. and because of this they prohibit people from
discovering right and wrong within themselves. and because of this they disallow people from
experiencing an organic sense of morality. it is a sad day when an external government
replaces internal self governing. cannabis should be seen as what it is. it is a tool. it is a tool that is in no way necessary for your
spiritual expansion and for spiritual awareness. it is a tool that can enhance your spiritual
awareness and spiritual practice. but it should no way be replacement
for the organic experience of naturally increasing your
level of self-awareness. and organically experiencing
spirituality as a result of altering your consciousness
intentionally. and as a side note, you don’t have to ingest pot
in order to learn from its beneficial teachings. after all you don’t have to smoke
weeds to learn for me. do you? have a good week! [subtitles using] Subtitles by the community

As a practitioner of weed, with many sessions under my belt… I'd say I'm pretty addicted. I'd smoke 2 joints before I'd smoke 2 joints…for real. I'd smoke until my dam hands hurt. What I've learned is this, man I'm always broke buying that stuff. I feel like a Hobbit when I smoke, I don't want anyone to bother me…I just want to be left alone so I can smoke in peace. One word to the wise…it also takes away time..before you know it, you well forget what decade it is.

I smoke once a week, and it has drastically improved me spiritually. You have to respect mother cannabis then she will respect you. Listening to a Shiva mantra while high is amazing, and I’d recommend it to everyone. It’s sad we can’t use this herb spiritually without government regulation.

I get panick attacks when I smoke. Is this just my body reacting to the THC or a deeper emotional reason? Maybe resistance?

Im in a country that thc is still illegal. But i also have a few long term chronic illnesses & was legally using pain medication with the help of my Dr's. I was taking between 20 – 32 pills a day for 7 years trying to control my pain & developed another chronic illness through that type of drug use. I came off the medication from the Dr's this year. I tried weed again

side note – I've always had weak bones & chronic pain since childhood. At 11 i started smoking week & those pains & weakness went away completely. At 19 i stopped smoking weed & was diagnosed with severe fibromyalgia, type 1 diabetes & C-PTSD 3 months later. Since having pain management drugs i now have chronic long term constipation & internal hemorrhoids –

I've been bedbound for 7 years but since 2015 ive been dealing with spiritual journeys. I had visions, voices, lucid dreams, ancestral communication & spirits come to me. Since using weed this year my mind is completely quiet of spirits, i don't dream at all & during meditation i just see nothing & a deep calm. It helps more than pills with pain but not enough to cure me as i hoped it was the "magic pill" so to speak. But i feel normal smoking it. I finally feel normal even still in pain. That's something i hadn't experienced since stopping it.

Does this mean my vibration is too low or high? & why does weed effect me like this?

It clouds, the signal/connection, with the creater.
Pot is nice, but if you want to hang out with the super power. Pot or any drugs are disrespectful.
If the lord is pure, then I want to be pure in his presents too.

    Pot is like the creater.
    They both have many names.

Thank you for this presentation. I would like to add one tiny detail to your discourse regarding "legalization" of marijuana. I have looked closely into the wording and construction of the Constitution for the united States of America and must report that I can find no authorization for the Federal (General) government to own my body. My premise for some time has been, "Self-ownership is the opposite of slavery." Whenever any government asserts some authority to tell me what I may or may not put into my body, that government is asserting ownership over my body, which in theory makes of me that government's "slave". Prohibition of any substance by government is antithetical to the founders' original intent. I do not need to seek or beg for a government's permission to use my favorite plant as I personally see fit. I would suggest that all "law enforcement" officers take time to read the Constitution more closely, whereupon any serious reader will notice finally that the government simply was not granted any authority to own a citizen's body.

And, Teal, I really like your take on vibrations and all the other nuances you've noted in the above video. Sincere thanks for an outstanding statement (generally and over-all) about pot use. Having smoked my marijuana for fifty years, I am in agreement with everything you said.

I've always felt grounded, opened and compassionate while high, my ego became less and nature seemed to come alive. Everything had such detail. Deep inside, there is a growing, golden light that needs to expand across the universe. I always assumed everyone felt like this under marijuana.

I have used too much of green but one day I feels something strange, it was starting my first attack of panic disorder and now after years using medicine still get panic when I smok weeds!
The only way I can do is using xanax befor and sometimes needs after too!
Except stress and anxiety when I smok my overthinking becomes double or maybe more!
I really like to experience psychedelic drugs like LSD, shrooms and DMT but my fears stopped me.
If anyone knows about the frequency and vibration that she talks please let me know why the weeds get me down with too much of stress and except thinking I can’t be active after smoking?

—-Most of these narcotics, intoxicants and other mind-altering drugs have been cursed by Lord Shiva, as it is written in the Indian scriptures, because there is always exist the possibility of substance misuse ,so the curse can be removed only by chanting the mantra OM NAMHA SHIVAYA ,SHIVAYA NAMAH OM, while taking these drugs, secondly they should be taken only in small quantities . Lord Shiva is also the lord of Narcotic herbs. idea is that the altered state of consciousness which has been attained by inhaling smoke or by drinking the potion, can be stabilised by the chanting the mantra of the lord of the narcotics ,so by and by the person who is into this practice ,may not have to depend upon the mind-altering substance ,because mantra will begin to produce DMT , endorphins (morphine ) and Valium like chemicals within the body, with the help of several hundred thousands of repetitions of the mantra . And that will help in attaining the state of deep meditation. In Shaiva text it is written that DMT like substances whether produced internally or taken as drug begin to open the mind in getting the access to subtle /astral realms and where according to his state of consciousness he will begin to get visions of meeting beings who exits on in other dimensions, if his mind is pure which have positive intentions then he will see / meet angels like higher light beings but if s/he is an ordinary person with confused state of mind then according to rate of vibrations of his inner being he will see/meet these beings of lower realms who never bring any wisdom to mind, seeing aliens, elves and other discarnate entities is indicative of that situation of inner mind . .Even the wine -liqueur has been by three persons first is lord Shiva, second is Lord Krishna and third is sage Shukracharya .,so in the same way who is into drinking must first chant particular mantra these godless Tara ( Om Devi Taaraaye Namah ) and offer three drops to sky , air and the earth as an offering to these divine beings .

People who are heavily and habitually addicted to marijuana and other drugs get extremely defensive and protective about their chosen habit fluffing all the "positive aspects" and never acknowledging the very toxic and negative aspects of marijuana which is part of the reason why it had to be legally regulated or banned in the first place out of a fear of losing control over how consumers would behave and it's no surprise that in the last 30 to 40 years there's plenty of stories of females, especially what are considered to be visually developed and attractive females as young as they hit puberty and fertile sexual development that they get offered "free" marijuana and or alcohol and are more prone to be offered more to escalate the relaxed state for the obvious reasons of "intentions".

Having said that I am not saying you don't lose your sense of judgment right away but dependency can and does happen especially considering how expensive good quality marijuana can be and the very reality of getting it for "free" costs leading to a co-denpency relationship aspect… a broke male is far less likely to get free weed in comparison and this is not only a harsh truth but a very toxic and negative aspect to marijuana.

Regardless of that illusion the other problem is, as addressed in this video that depending of the type of marijuana species, you are more likely to have your vibration disrupted or brought down depending on your vibration.

Although I have enjoyed marijuana in the past, I was practicing a specific strict dietary discipline where certain foods cannot be consumed and as a side effect in order to reach a target number of days, you have to avoid being in touch with "friends or acquaintances" even family who would pose a negative influence in reaching the dietary goal…

The other issue is that this particular dietary challenge has a side effect of further raising your vibration while you practice it and during previous challenges I initially didn't notice the negative effects until some months ago where nearly halfway into completing the targeted number of days, I was in the situation of well known friends offering and eventually the mindset I had prior to smoking was crystal clear and afterwards it became less so… as a result I changed my relationship with this plant and only do it occasionally because of certain realizations I had which forced me to re-evaluate the other occasions and basically led me to the point that even marijuana should not be used during strict dietary challenges because the effects and circumstances can affect your vibration and lead to a derailment of whatever goals you had set out for yourself… not including the also negative aspects of other peers.

Hello Teal, I found this video very interesting and informative. Does this video apply to the THC side of Cannabis?
What about the CBD side of Cannabis is that totally different, the CBD oil they sell in Health Stores which they say is without the THC? Say for example 5% CBD oil – would this take away your motivation, make you more apathetic or be addictive? Does the CBD oil have a different set of good benefits without the down side? Thank you Teal I think your videos are great. I am a fan of Ralph Smart for many years now. I 1st learnt of you, very recently through the Video you did together with Ralph. You both are inspiring and teach so much how we can enhance our lives. I would appreciate very much your thoughts on this, thank you.

Rarely used in small amounts may not harm you as much as habitual use of average amounts. Drugs, by definition, is poison and eventually cause physical deterioration and spiritual lowering of perception and awareness. Bodies and minds are made the same and only the contents are different. That being said, medical use may improve quality of life.

If it comes from outside of you, it is NOT mastery but often leads to dependency. You, can not be the master to what you depend on, it, masters you as you depend on it. What you need, is built into you and when you stop looking outside yourself and get very serious with a burning desire, an importance for it that never goes away no matter what circumstances are if they re viewed good or bad, if your willing to sit each day every day and continue without results and without expectations, frustrations it comes but not any instant fix. The spiritual path is not always filled with joy, if someone tells you this don't buy into it. Once you learn to go within … you will soon experience challenges, tests both in spirit and the physical you may never dreamed could occur. Please, do not seek for entertainment, self gratification and amusement but seek because you truly burn for and long for the light, truth and oneness and be willing to sacrifice all. You can not be transformed / perfected / changed if you want to remain as you are and be an observer. There is a reason it is called dying to self or self crucifixion. The entrance inward leads upward (ascending) while that which is outward is descending. Remember, in is up and out is down. The gate is narrow, it is given to all of us and has been available always but not recognized because it's not given attention. You seek to rush to the goal but the journey is as important as the getting there. Notice life is filled with duality (opposites) Look for such an example in you and find the middle way. Once you find the entrance, it is always there, it is but a start on a long and often ardious journey. We live in a world where people seek instant gratification and this mindset won't get you anywhere on the spiritual path. My brother in-law is a generally good person and decided to try what I told him. He gave it a half hour and quit because nothing happened. Interesting … he's a christian so he expects God, too serve him in what he had determined 30 minutes or it's a waste of time. I decided not to comment further but here, I will expound. "As long as there is a you watching and waiting, you have not surrendered. Get a clue and happy travels.

@Teal Swan or anyone else, how potent is ingesting a fairly high dose of Nepalese Black in yogurt compared to LSD or magic mushrooms, for example? Thx!!

Weed makes you lazy, robs of your energy, makes procrastinating everything, makes you non confident and you mind is clouded and you have cravings for crappy unhealthy foods.. at the end of the day it is drug/medicine. You wouldnt eat antibiotics every day would you? You use it when it is needed.. i am glad I don’t smoke anymore! I am sorry but i have not met any productive person who is smoking weed.. all of them lazy! I was one of them! Ultimate high – absolutely clear mind!

I'm a Shaman and a lot of this is miss information. Dopamine is our satisfaction hormone and 85 percent of dopamine is actually created in your gut not your brain, some made in the spine and the rest in the brain. There is nothing addictive in weed. I quite for 4 months and no difference. Also ingesting plants and the right foods can increase your vibration and plants hold a high vibration and is why we need to eat live enzymes for better health and higher vibration. Further more if you are having concentration problems or spiritual connection the first place you should be looking at is your gut, the second brain that feeds the first.

God is your spiritual connection not phycodelics or weed. I smoke occasionally but I'm honest with myself and others. A sober mind is all you need to pray and have a connection with our creator.

    No motivation while on weed?
How about smoking and working out, writing papers, organizing the hell out of the house, etc.
lol I can think of multiple things weed motivates me to do
