I feel disappointed with Osho on the Rolls Royces. I love everything about Osho but the Rolls Royces. Overcome desires, ambition, find what is truly essential and feel satisfied with "things easy to obtain" (as the Tao Te Ching states). It is cynical to have such luxury in this world.

I feel Osho addresses many things people prefer not to touch on. He was very open and I so admire that about him. There was absolutely nothing he would not shy away from nor cover.

yeah, and the other religions have no contradictions… Vatican doesn't stimulate you towards wealth, but needs your money to THEIR own luxury and riches within their luxurious temples. Gold, treasures, paintings, sculptures, expensive tissues, clothes and ornaments to the clergy… but the people: keep people in poverty…. the name of this is hypocrisy

I don't know if I am going to be disappointed with osho about his rolls royce or what, the way he responded to the questions was funny. He is a character so different from the other gurus of his times.

He meant that for the people to understand spirituality, they need to have free time, knowledge and resources. Which only the rich people had in those times.
If Osho would be alive today, having at least 65 %of educated people around the globe and a better connectivity like youtube, all he would need is a single room apartment and a camera. 😉

I can't believe people are defending what he's saying. I mean he's obviously a smart guy but this is a crooked way of looking at things. Don't worship him.

Life needs education and a house and good food and nice clothes and a good pair of shoes. Life of austerity and simple life doesn't get you that. Goto Asia and see how that's working out.

You don't understand his guy. Old religion based on helping poor and the weak, but they remain that way forever. It's a cycle so religion can never be exterminated.

In another video he said all religions are toys for a distraction for those who are asleep.
He speaks of truth but appears to live only part of it perhaps he loves money too much so to live as he speaks much of the time.

I respect his honesty. Unlike those religious cleric man pretending to care about the poor but they only deceiving people by living lavish life from donation money.

His words seems heretic. But if it is authentic, they will prevail. Only good things prevail. Life is for all. I liked his sincerity. 🙂

There is an amazing film about Osho called "Wild Wild Country".
Please take a look at it and you will realize the true nature of his words.
Actually, "Osho" and "wealth" are NOT contradictory terms at all.

Weird. He doesn't say anything impressive yet his followers bought him 90 cars. I guess there is a sucker born every minute.
I'll stay an atheist and study science. At least science has something real to offer.

In the concept of Vedic Hinduism i.e Adwaita Vedanta, Osho is RUBBISH. He cannot sell spirituality to Indians, there are far better and more knowledgeable Gurus are than Osho! Even a Vivekananda would make him drink water in a debate!! Osho cleverly taught only the spiritually illiterate westerners.

Osho, one of the best comedians ever. There is no one more serious than a great comedian. Only thing he's a sit down comedian, not a stand up one.

Really, when he first gets to be asked the question about riches and wealth he, without caring for what usually people considers as riches and wealth but in reverse giving these words their true meaning which is a spiritual one. When he is asked about the usual stupid question about the Rolls Royce and the one about austerity he comes out with the funniest line ever: "All other religions are looking after the poor, at least leave me alone to look after the rich".

I have nothing but respect, reverance and love for Osho. Spirituality is a wealthy person's lifestyle, not just in money but in mentality.

Money is neither good or bad. It is neutral. It's old belief systems created by powerful people making us believe wealth is not Godly. We're made to choose to be either spiritual or rich. Why not both?

Osho reveals himself here and what he truly is. He has nothing to gain from the poor, not the other way around. Wealth and intelligence are not interconnected as we all well know. A great con man won't shy away from any question and thus must have an answer for his people, and for him to say to his wealthy followers that they are smarter than the poor is the answer he can give and maintain his authority over their naivety and wealth.
