“The Significance of Prayer and of Worship” 2 Chronicles 20

tonight we’re going to be
looking in the book of Second Chronicles chapter 20 the title of my
message tonight will be The Significance of Prayer and of Worship I want to start
in the book of John chapter 17 verses 5 through 9
shortly before Jesus was going to the cross He prayed this if you don’t
have your Bibles you can look on the screen up there and now our Father glorify
Me together with Yourself with the glory which I had with You before the world
was I have manifested Your name to the men who have given Me and out of the
world they were Yours You gave them to Me and You and they have kept Your
word now they have known that all things which You have given Me are
from You for I have given to them the words which You have given Me
and they have received them and have known surely that I came forth from You
and they have believed that You sent Me I pray for them I do
not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me for they are
Yours Jesus said in John chapter 15 verses 5 through 9 I am the vine you are
the branches and he will abides in me and I in him bears much fruit for
without Me you can do nothing if anyone does not abide in Me he is cast out as a
branch in his withered and they gathered them and throw them into the fire and
they are burned if you abide in Me and My words abide in you you will ask
what you desire and it should be done for you by this My Father is glorified
that you bear much fruit so you will be My disciples as the Father loved Me I
also loved you abide in My love we can stay connected
to Jesus the divine through prayer Jesus wants His followers to be people of
Prayer calvary chapel kaneohe as a church
under the leadership of pastor JD has placed a strong emphasis on prayer
that’s a good thing in these last days as things are waxing worse prayer is
crucial in the life of a Christian evil is rampant and the culture is
gravitating towards the demonic we see it all around us we’ve even as a church
committed to meet one night a month to petition the Lord through corporate
prayer as a church body we meet the first Tuesday of every month it’s really
been a great time it has really been a rich time I know that our prayer
meetings really blesses the Lord I know that in my life
I’ve come to see not only the importance of prayer but the victory that comes
from my intimate time with the Lord I have to confess that prayer was not
always a priority in my walk I spent most of my time in the word learning the
scriptures I was also serving in a ministries that the Lord had me in I
think many of us may be in that same place but the Lord has a way of getting
our attention Amen He wants us to realize the importance of
and the priority of Prayer I recently bought an app for my offer iPhone it’s
called Echo it’s a prayer app I’ve had other prayer
apps before but I never used them then they didn’t work this one is
special because it’s really practical and I highly recommend it before I would
meander through my prayer list and that I was praying in my head I will get lost
sometimes and even fall asleep with a prayer list in front of me with
echo that I have on my iPhone it helps it helps me to make sure
I pray for the people that I had promised to pray for I also want to make
sure that I pray for my family my friends I also want to make sure that I
pray for the things that I myself have been praying for I try to pray every
morning that helps me that helps my day actually go a lot smoother and I know He
hears me because I feel the joy at the end of the day most days First John 5:14
through 15 says now this is the confidence that we have in Him that if
we ask anything according to His will He hears us and if we know that He hears us
whatever we ask we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him be
encouraged that God hears your prayers when you pray to Him John tells us
in the Epistle of First John now this is the confidence
that we have in Him that if we ask anything according to His will He hears
us then there’s worship it’s really an attitude of the heart of a good attitude
of who God is an attitude of thankfulness and of humility thanking
for Him for His love and for His grace and for His mercy an attitude of
gratitude for His provision for His blessing in our lives but especially an
attitude of being grateful for the salvation that He gives us through His
Son Jesus Christ that promise that we’ll be in heaven one
day that’s an encouragement for me you know God loves it when we’re sold out
for Him He loves it when we truly worship Him in fact He looks for people
who have that kind of attitude towards Him Second Chronicles chapter 16 verse 9
tells us for the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to
show Himself strong and behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him we want
God to be strong on our behalf
living in this fallen world it’s not a welcoming place for Christians we need
His strength we need His strength to be able to navigate our time in this life
ah and here’s one of my favorite topics worship through song and yes God loves
it when you sing you know I love it when I’m up here and I lead worship and I
usually don’t look out at the you guys as I’m singing because I’m glued
to my iPad so that I don’t forget the words and I don’t forget to cords but I
love it when I see you guys just up here and you guys are raising your hands
you guys are worshiping Him as a worship leader here I want to encourage you guys
that when you’re up here when you were here in a sanctuary sing sing to God
when I got saved I was a new believer I would go to church and sing during
worship the songs are new to me but the message of the songs that really touched
my heart so I couldn’t help but sing when we sing we’re expressing our
adoration and love for Jesus we do it corporately as a body of Christ every
Thursday and Sunday before message David just did a beautiful job singing
and praising the Lord with his guitar we seek to glorify God one of the first
songs that I ever sang is a worship leader was Father of Lights
it’s one of my favorite songs on a sidenote
Judy Suzuki who sits here you guys here she was the first person that God sent
and it was only her and I when we first started the worship team about maybe 10
11 years ago then God gave us Jimmy our drummer and then the rest of the team these
are all people that I had prayed for these are all instruments that I have
prayed that God would send as I was just a new worship leader and I wanted God
to I loved my old church that I was at how worship team would
just blend and how they sounded and so that’s what I wanted God gave it to
me one of the things I want to encourage you and each one of these here who
are with me on the worship team and even David and and Gale and all of those who
are involved in the worship ministry here at calvary chapel kaneohe they
all love the Lord they all of love the Lord I’m blessed to have them because the
worship ministry is not the easiest ministry to run but they’ve been a
blessing to me in my life so the chorus of that song goes every good and perfect
gift comes from the Father above if every good and perfect gift comes from
Him why wouldn’t we want to worship Him Amen
like prayer worship can be done anywhere at any time I used to tell the
kids when I was teaching youth I had always sing in my truck on the way to
work in it when I’m coming home I would always sing then when I was driving I
would close my eyes and just pray that’s the same reaction I got from the
kids I was teaching they realized that I was just kidding some of the best times
I’ve had of worship has been while I was driving many times I’m rolling down a
road and I’m thinking of God singing as well and I know you do the same thing
then many times I would just break out in tears the tears may have come because
I would remember where I was 18 years ago like pastor JD God had delivered me
from a life of alcohol and drugs I wish I got saved like pastor JD at age 19 but I
tortured myself for forty five years without the Lord in my life at 17 years
of age I received a full scholarship to play football at the University of
Hawaii I did well as a freshman and even scored a touchdown on the varsity squad
but pride and drinking took over and I lost focus I quit school my junior year
but I continued that partying lifestyle until I was 45 years old in my 30s and 40s
I wanted to stop this downward slide I didn’t know how I believe now in
hindsight that the enemy had a hold on my life
and he didn’t want to let me go he wanted to keep me away from God
I promised Jeanie my wife you know her she serves in the kitchen
little okinawan girl I promised her that I would stop this destructive behavior
but like a dog going back to its vomit I would stop and shortly after that return
and start again AA didn’t help me 18 years ago at 45 years of age I got
stopped for DUI you know looking back on my
life my parents never took me to church but I always believed in God when I was
11 years old my best friend in the neighborhood Tony Oshiro who happens to
be my wife’s brother yes I married the girl next door and we grew up right here
in this valley Kahaluu right behind right here where Wong’s Village is up in the
back hills that’s where Jeannie and I grew up her
dad had a 11 acre farm and my dad had an acre a lot up in the valley Tony asked
me if I had believed in God not ever going I’d ever stepping into a
church my answer to him was yes I believed so when I was in trouble at age
45 I called out for God I called out for Him to help me God
heard my prayer the prayer of an unsaved man an unsaved and wretched man so I
just had knee surgery God sent me in fact God sent into my life a man who was
my physical therapist his name was Colin Kato he was shining his light as only a
Christian can a month later he led a month later he led me in a prayer to
receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior I really felt the Holy Spirit
came into my life when I prayed that prayer we were both crying he was crying
because he knew my life was going to change because his life had changed and he was
delivered from the same issues that I was dealing with I was crying because I
had carried this weight of sin for such a long time in my life and it was gone
and it was gone I went to a church I went to church with
him calvary chapel Honolulu and pastor Bill Stonebraker was teaching I walked
in and I started crying when the worship songs were being sung
because those messages was just for me I wanted to serve immediately and I wanted
to teach Sunday school because I had coached kids on my life in sports so I
wanted to work with kids in the youth ministry Colin told me to wait he said
wait for a year grow in the things of the Lord so I started to read the Bible
and I finished it in two years I wish I had a photographic memory like pastor JD
so I can remember some of the scriptures but I need to write things down so I can
read it just like I am now then I started helping after that
year was over I started helping with the fifth and sixth graders and eventually
took over that class I absolutely loved working with the youth and I still do
here at this calvary chapel kaneohe whenever I get called whenever they need
help but back then I didn’t know much I was a new believer the kids were
teaching me the kids have been in Sunday-school all their lives so they
were teaching me the scriptures but we had a great time together a couple of
years later as I was driving down Keeaumoku Street in Honolulu my truck
suddenly took a left turn into the Easy Music parking lot I’m not exaggerating
as I was driving my truck just took a left turn into Easy Music I know now
today that it was the Holy Spirit I did love the times of worship at church but
I had never any plans I’ve never played a guitar I had no plans of buying a guitar
or visiting Easy Music but I walked in and I came out with a $100
fender and a chord book in my hand for two years the Holy Spirit had me
teaching I was teaching me how to play my guitar at home I almost gave up Jeanie
my wife thought there was no hope I was trying to sing in someone else’s key
because I would grab the worship leaders music sheets and go home and try and
sing in his key ahhh when I supposed to be singing down here
and this key the first time I led worship is in front of my Sunday School
class and my knees were absolutely shaking and the Lord first formed the
first worship team that I would lead from the fifth and sixth graders in my
class some of these kids are serving in the worship ministry today I know a
Shizuru he filled in for Jimmy on the drums here one Sunday he started
playing congas when he was 11 years old on our worship team back
had dug Calvary Chapel Honolulu Jeremiah 1:5 says before I formed you in the womb
I knew you before you were born I sanctified you I ordained you a prophet
to the nation’s before I was even born God had this plan for my life that I
would be leading God’s people in song in worship to Him He was just waiting for
me to surrender then God moved us to calvary chapel kaneohe five months
before five months before pastor JD started this church five months AFTER JD
started this church Jeanie and I helped make coffee we opened up the church and
I had to take out this really big sign and put it on Kam Highway with that
arrow saying calvary chapel kaneohe this way pastor JD knew I could play guitar
because the Lord placed JD and I had an outreach in Kailua right near his home
this outreach took place the very first Saturday after I had come to Calvary
Chapel Kaneohe for the first Sunday the first time I stepped into Calvary Chapel
Kaneohe the previous Sunday I had come to CCK
for the very first time I met pastor JD the following Saturday I’m leading
worship at an outreach close to pastor JD’s house singing with these other
mighty men of God who shared our shared our testimonies at this outreach
and pastor JD’s just so happened to be there I love it when God choreographs
the steps of our lives in ordered to serve His purpose these men
that I was singing at at this outreach in Kailua I’m one of the leaders of a
ministry at my work called stevedores for Christ all of us are longshoreman
who came to Jesus and were saved we feed the homeless every year on Thanksgiving Day at a park where I work at Sand Island Matson supplies much
of the giveaways that we give to the people tents we give them food we give
them toothbrushes toothpaste soap my part in this outreach is to set up the
worship songs the musical equipment and the sound system last year you know
Jimmy and Judy and Jeanie and Miki they came and sang with us and
they were really a blessing so pastor watched me for six months and then one
day asked me if I would pray and lead worship here at calvary chapel kaneohe so I’ve been doing this now for about 12
years and I still love what I do I remember the muck and the mire where I
came from and what God has done for me over the
years I have much reason to worship and to praise the Lord again the title of
this message is the Significance of Prayer and of Worship here in Second
Chronicles 20 we see prayer and worship combined God’s people were up against an
enemy too strong for them to deal with we don’t know who the author of this
book is some think it’s Ezra but matter who wrote this book God
is the author He desires for you to know that He absolutely loves it when you
spend time with Him in prayer He also loves it when you acknowledge and worship
Him whether it’s during your quiet times with Him or your times of singing Him
through songs singing Him through song God really loves it Second Chronicles 20
verses 1 and 2 it happened after this that the people of Moab
with the people of Ammon and others with them besides the Ammonites came to
battle against Jehoshaphat then some came and told Jehoshaphat saying a
great multitude is coming against you from beyond the sea from Syria and they
are in Hazazon Tamar which is in En Gedi there’s a large army coming against
the people of God they intend to make war and the land that God
has given these people they want it back they want Judah the Ammonites and the
Moabites were descendants of Lot throughout Israel’s history the
Ammonites and the Moabites were constantly troubling the children of God
the Jews they were a constant threat and an eternal enemy of
God’s chosen people so sad because the Israelites and these armies coming
against them are related they were family
Abraham was the father of this Jewish nation God’s people and here you have
his nephew Lot his descendants coming to take
this land the promised land that was given to
Abraham’s offspring verse two said they were coming from Syria today
we see the buildup in of the Russians and the Iranians in Syria we see it all
over the news so to here in this passage in Second Chronicles is a staging ground
a staging ground in Syria and again we see history repeating itself
Syria as a staging ground for what I also believe and what pastor JD has
taught us that the prophecy of Ezekiel 38 is forming right before our eyes we
know that Isaiah 17:1 says that one day Damascus will be completely destroyed
and so we too have an enemy the demons sent from Satan that’s
continually upsetting and disturbing our lives yes we too are surrounded by the
enemy who is all around us the enemy who was always ready to attack
you know last night I came to church to make sure this computer would work and
projector screens would work and everything would be connected but
as I was leaving home like my truck wouldn’t start and so I tried and tried
again and finally it started but the Lord gave me favor and I was able to go
last night at 7:30 in the evening and go buy a battery and we came here and
everything was working as we journey in this chapter my hope and prayer is that
we would be encouraged by the events that king Jehoshaphat went through
trouble was all around but God in verse 3 reads and Jehoshaphat feared and sent
himself to seek the Lord and proclaim the fast throughout all Judah
so Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord and from all the cities
and so from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord we see
Jehoshaphat’s first reaction at the bad news is fear the Bible brings to light
you know so much truth it tells us that Jehoshaphat was fearful so too we
become fearful on extreme trials come our way the Scriptures have a way of
showing us the frailties and the weaknesses of those we think to be
pillars in the scriptures King David comes to mind but just like us they
worried they worried when difficulties came their way so that should encourage
us because we see and read of how many times God gave his kids the victory
victory in the face of adversity in my life I’ve seen God give me the victory
in so many trials in the past you would think that I shouldn’t fear when a
subsequent problem comes up but yet I fear when I try another trial comes like
me I know that many of you are dealing with the same things in your life you’re
worried and maybe in fear I know many of you go through the same issues that I
have gone through we even know what God’s Word tells us in Philippians one
of my favorite verses chapter four verses six through seven tells us be
anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication
and with Thanksgiving we let our request being made known to God and the peace
which passes all understanding we guard our hearts and minds through
Christ Jesus about four years ago I found out that I had stage four okay
I’m sorry stage 3 kidney disease I panicked and I feared
I was thinking in my mind that I had three months to live I’ve since
man to manage it and God has blessed me with a Jewish doctor his name was Noah
Solomon my blood work I check it up I check up my blood work every six months
and it’s staying at stage three and anything improving a little bit and it’s
close to stage two at times I think about my condition but it doesn’t bother
me as it did at first kidney disease stage I’m sorry kidney disease stays with you
for life but so does God whatever you and I go through in this
life I know that God can bring about a healing whether he supernaturally heals
us and he can maybe he’ll use doctors these doctors who he’s anointed and
gave the gift of healing to whether they believe it or not maybe God won’t choose
to heal us physically let us remember and thank God that we are
spiritually healed that we are born again of the Spirit of God that we are
rapture ready and heaven bound the Bible tells us that there is no more pain and
suffering in heaven God may take us home instead of letting us live here with all
this pain and adversity that we go through so as you go through our present
suffering here on earth we have this blessed hope this blessed hope that is
not only an assurance from God but a promise from Him First Peter chapter one verse two to seven God the
Father knew you and chose you long ago and His spirit has made you holy as a
result you have obeyed Him and you’ve been cleansed by the blood of Jesus
Christ may God give you more and more Grace and peace all praise to God the
Father all praise to God the Father of our
Lord Jesus Christ it is by His great mercy that we have been born again
because God raised Jesus from the dead now we live with great expectation and
we have this a priceless inheritance an inheritance that is kept in heaven for
you pure and undefiled beyond the reach of
change and decay and through your faith God is protecting you by His power until
you receive this salvation which is ready to be revealed on the last day for
all to see so be truly glad there is a wonderful joy ahead even though you
have to endure many trials for a while as pastor JD says so many times this
place is not our home be encouraged if you’re here today and you’re going
through a rough time if you need prayer after service tonight come
forward and somebody to pray for you but don’t forget we’re almost home verse four
tells us that people from all the cities of Judah came to seek the Lord
Jehoshaphat’s father was King Asa Asa a Godly king who bought back Godly
reforms that his father King Abijah had forsaken Jehoshaphat also was a good
king who loved the Lord it was a good to see that this nation Israel was
turning to the worship of the true and living God it had been turning away from
false gods and idol worship you know it saddens my heart to see what’s
happening in this country I know we are close to the return of our Savior and I
also know prophetically that these things must come to pass pastor JD has
expounded to us to us what scripture warns us I remember in
elementary school saying the Pledge of Allegiance and how
God was included on our daily recital today as I looked around me at our
country the common thread I see is disobedience and rebellion rebellion
against God today the majority of this country is trying to take Jesus out
of our society but here’s the King King Jehoshaphat he worshipped the true and
living God and he led his country to love and revere God as well he calls for
a prayer meaning and practically the whole nation shows up I believe that
President Trump is trying to head the u.s. in the direction that
Jehoshaphat went bringing the Christian worldview back into this country his
vice president Mike Pence is a born-again Christian who loves the Lord
very much his selection and approval of conservative judges will hopefully bring
our nation back back towards the righteous decisions in the courts I’m a
product of the 70s and I thought that it was okay to have an abortion again I
never went to church then I got saved and God through his word corrected my
error the error of my thinking President Trump is a supporter of the nation
Israel it bodes well for the United States as it relates to Genesis 12:2 and
3 where God tells us I will make you a great nation I will bless you and make
you and make your name great and yes you shall be a blessing I will bless
those who bless you and I will curse him who curses you and in you all the
families of the earth shall be blessed so yes we want to be Israel’s friend if
we want to be a friend of God I found an article from The Daily Beast it’s a news
periodical that is not Trump friendly this is what the author and anti Trump
guy wrote perhaps the only subject Donald Trump likes to talk about as much
as the almighty self is well all-mighty God you need proof as a White House state like
dinner for evangelical leaders in late August President Trump spoke
about the glory of God and the power of prayer while promising that he would ensure
America would forever remain one nation under God this kind of religious
rhetoric is not new for Trump he has consistently tried to grab them
by the Bible when addressing the conservative base in 2015 he declared
that the good book was his favorite published work of all time just topping
the Art of the Deal during another speech that same year he
waived his childhood Bible in the air to prove his religious bona fides Trump
has even indicated that God had probably had
a hand in the election noting that such a victory would require major help from
God and we got it you know as we see this nation attempting and trying to make a
right turn back to the things of God the enemy is fighting back we see it all
over the news today the left is just fighting they’re battling they don’t
like what’s happening they don’t like the threat of Roe versus Wade
being thrown out but like president Trump Jehoshaphat had enemies all around
him wanting to rob kill and destroy and take what was not theirs and this time
of their stress the King calls a national prayer and a fast verse four says
people came from all the cities of Judah to do just that pray fast and seek
the Lord and what a powerful testimony of a leader who sold out for
God and then the people following his lead
so why fast it was a way for the people to show
outwardly that which was happening in their heart they
wanted God to know that they were sincere as well as serious and that
which they were petitioning the Lord for they made a sacrifice by forsaking food
and drink as well as worldly pleasure they wanted God to intervene and give
them the victory and what looked like impossible odds I like what the
Christian website question.org says about fasting fasting should have a
clear purpose people in the Bible fasted and prayed because they wanted something
specific to happen they either wanted God to change them or to change their
circumstances or to reveal something to them ultimately fasting is far more
about focus than it is about food fasting is taking our focus off of the
things of the world in order to focus more on the things of God fasting can
thus be a means of growing closer to God I’d say this to you but I also speak for
myself as well if you’re going through something that has gnawed at you and perhaps
plagued you for a long time whether it’s a wife or a husband or child that you’re
praying for that you want to be saved whether it’s a financial burden that
you’re going through and it looks overwhelming whatever your situation
like Jehoshaphat may I suggest fasting verse 5 says then
Jehoshaphat stood in the Assembly of Judah and Jerusalem in the house of the
Lord before the new court and said O Lord God of our fathers are
are You not God in heaven and do You not rule over all the kingdoms of the
nations and in Your hand is there not power
might so that no one is able to withstand You are You not God are You
not our God who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your
people Israel and gave it to the descendants of Abraham your friend
forever and they dwell in it and they have built
you a sanctuary in it for Your namesake saying if disaster comes upon us sword
judgment pestilence or famine we will stand before this temple and in your
presence for Your name is in this temple and cry out to You in our affliction and
You will hear and save so Jehoshaphat is in a panic and he is
fervently crying out to God for help he doesn’t want to be the king that let the
enemies of Judah come in and sack the country and sack and come and occupy
this beautiful temple that he’s standing there in verse 7 Jehoshaphat is
reminding God of something that God never never forgot that because of the
wickedness of the people that inhabited Cana the Canaanites the
Promised Land he would remove them in their place God would install the nation
Israel the people in nation God used to bring His word the Bible through the
nation and people the Messiah the Savior of the world
will be born through so Jehoshaphat is standing in front of this
beautiful edifice the Temple in Jerusalem we can imagine Jehoshaphat
standing at the top standing and yelling at the top of his voice saying
to God this is the place where Your people built You a sanctuary this is
where we can come to You and pray this is the place where
Your people can come in times of trouble and You O God will save us
today because of Jesus’s sacrifice we don’t need a temple we can pray
anyplace and anywhere and God will hear us anytime and anywhere verse
10 says and now here are the people of Ammon Moab and Mount Seir whom You will
not let invade Israel invade when they came out of the land of Egypt but they
turned from them and they did not destroy them
here they are rewarding us by coming to throw us out of Your position which You have given us to inherit in the Book of Numbers chapter
20 verses 14 to 21 the Israelites wanted to take a shortcut through Edom to get
to the promised land they had just come out of Egypt and crossed the Red Sea and
were on the journey home the king of Edom would not let them go through the
Israelites said they would even pay for the water that he would drink but the
king refused and the Edomites were cousins of the Jews but they would not
let them pass now these same people are coming to invade Judah they wanted their
land that the land that God removed them from and the same for us as
God’s people God gives us victory the enemy ramps up
the pressure with temptations and trials in our lives the enemy wants to
reclaim territory that he’s lost I love what Pastor
Chuck Smith said about temptation when the enemy comes calling run verse 12
tells us O our God will You not judge them for we have no power against this
great multitude that is coming against us nor do we know what to do but our
eyes upon You now all Judah with their little ones their wives and their
children stood before the Lord it’s been many years since I taught from this
pulpit here at calvary chapel kaneohe we were a small church when the last time i
taught it’s not the easiest thing for me to prepare and then stand in front of
you and teach as evidenced by tonight yet I lead worship here on Sundays it’s
not easy for me to speak so I just sing the words that God gives me the words
that He likes to hear the lyrics of praise and
worship to Him when I started to prepare for this teaching I had so many
distractions yesterday I wasn’t even a quarter way through I took a couple of days of
vacation from work so I could prepare for this study but when I awoke on the
couch with my laptop in hand I said to God exactly what Joseph had told Him God
this test looks insurmountable I’m all over the place God what should I know
what should I say what should I not say I’m having a hard time and I don’t know
what to do O God my eyes are on You I thought of even suspending my daily
morning prayer ritual until later in the day but thank God I didn’t
God convicted me as only He can and I prayed and I’m glad I did
because as I sat typing the words from the Lord would start to fill the
PowerPoint presentation that He was preparing perhaps you might be going
through something challenging in your life it’s too heavy a burden to carry
give it to God pray and humble yourself before the Creator of all Things
worship Him yes and even sing and sit back and stand up and watch God work He
wants to fight for you He’s waiting on standby for you to ask
and so ask let’s pray Father I just come before
You to thank You Lord that in times of trouble in times of trials
in times of tribulation Lord and we simply just don’t know what to do but
thank You Lord that You tell to tell us in Your Word to just look to You the
author and finisher of our faith we thank You Lord that so many times Lord in
our lives You have given us victory but yet when we go through trials again we
fear again forgive us Lord but thank You Lord for Your mercy and grace for you
have so much love for us You have so much love for us that you would send
your son Jesus Christ to die in a Roman cross so that we could be saved so that
we might have salvation thank You Father for this time in Your word and
thank You for king Jehoshaphat an example of a Godly leader who
turned his nation back to You and that’s my prayer for this country though it
looks bleak and though the end times tell us that things are going to wax worse
Lord we can still pray and I ask that You would bring your blessings upon us so Lord
have Your way with us thank You Lord for that what You’re doing in and through
our lives we give You all the praise and all the glory and all the honor and we
pray these things in Jesus’ name Amen how do we stand

Sir, I m in dear need of your prayers so that I will be strong in the Lord Jesus Christ and love Him more than ever before, because I'm surrounded by cloud of problems that the devil wants to use to pull me down.

What a dear man. Please let him know his testimony was so wonderful. I can tell he isn't a man who likes to up and out front and I thank him for fighting his fears and speaking out the most powerful thing we have on earth as a tool is our testimony. God works miracles with our testimony and uses it for His glory. God bless him, Pastor J.D., the church and congregation as we move forward. We were all born for a time such as this. We each were made in the plan of God to fulfill what has been told in our Holy Word by The Holy Spirit. Praise God!

SERIOUSLY! Put this man in the pulpit more often. I truly feel God woke me up to hear this message and it was balm for this hurting heart. Yes, I just need to keep turning to Him in prayer. I felt like the enemy had almost taken me out, but this incredible Holy Spirit filled sermon has deeply affected me. God bless you. I will be saving and listening to many times. Thank you!
